INSPIRATIONAL AWARD

EVERY YEAR WE CHOOSE ONE TEAM  TO ACCEPT THE INSPRATIONAL AWARD. THIS YEAR WE FOUND THAT MANY TEAMS WERE NOMINATED AND EACH TEAM HAD SOMETHING DIFFERENT THAT CONTRIBUTED TO BEING NOMINATED FOR THIS AWARD.

AS WE HAVE FOUND IN THE PAST, IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO CHOOSE JUST ONE PLAYER OR ONE TEAM THAT STANDS OUT FROM THE REST .

THIS YEAR WE HAVE LISTED TEAMS THAT WERE NOMINATED BY OUR REFEREES AND OFFICIALS AND WOULD LIKE TO THANK THEM FOR SHOWING TRUE SPORTSMANSHIP.

BOYS 8 "GOLDEN GOAL" SCARBOROUGH PARK TEAM

AWARDED THE "CHERIE BURTON MP KOGARAH"- "INSPIRATIONAL AWARD"

It was a pleasure to have a team like  ‘ Golden Goal ‘ participate at Dragontag . 

  The children and parents conducted themselves with true sportsmanship . 

The “Cherie Burton Inspirational Award” is given to one team that shows true sportsmanship throughout the season. Parents behaviour is also monitored J  

Cherie Burton MP Kogarah was an inspiration to me as I was inspired by her passion and her commitment to the area of Kogarah. She has supported so many sports and is now the Patron of our game. The "Golden Goal" Boys 8 team are also an inspiration and  showed that sport at this age should really be fun and enjoyable for them. 

The parents of this team need to be congratulated for teaching their children the real meaning of sport. You are a credit to yourselves and your children
